Comment by: Jah Glu Date: 2006-10-09 Comment: According to Burning Spear he originated this riddim for his classic He Prayed on Studio One around 1970. One of Coxsone rivals (I believe it was Joe Gibbs, but I could be mistaken) versioned the riddim for a boxing tribute. Coxsone then countered with dubbing the original (you can still hear some Spear vocals) and releasing it as Joe Frazier. Hence the name for this riddim.
